About the Study

EXPERIENCES OF NEURODIVERGENT ADULTS IN SUPPORT GROUP SETTINGS

An Ethnographic Study

WHY PARTICIPATE?

We are studying how neurodivergent adults engage with therapeutic and peer-led support groups. This research is being done to explore how they use support groups to grow as individuals and achieve personal goals. Participating in this research will help provide us with valuable information to understand the group experience and what neurodivergent adults are looking for when they join similar groups.

WHAT IS INVOLVED?

1

Initial interest conversation between the group facilitator(s) and a research associate. Together, you will discuss the details of the study and determine if your support group is eligible and interested in participating.

2

If the group is interested in moving forward, a research associate will attend one or more sessions of your support group.

3

If the group is not interested in observation, a facilitator may participate in a one-on-one interview if interested.

4

An optional one-on-one interview will be offered to interested individual group participants.

Your group may be eligible if:

☐ All group participants are over the age of 18
☐ For neurodivergent adults (includes autism, ADHD, and more)

☐ Virtual or in-person (certain areas of SC, NC, GA)
